Learning in a good mood! That's exactly how the seminar on Industry 4.0, held last Wednesday at ISEP, went.

After the opening and welcoming remarks by the Director of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Dr. Joaquim Sabino, several speeches followed, marked by a strong sense of practicality... and a lot of laughter in between.

António Barny, Product Development Director at Amkor Technology, presented the most advanced technological developments in the IoT world, close to us in Vila do Conde.

Manuel Monteiro, Communication Solutions Scientist at Fraunhofer Portugal, followed by sharing ongoing research projects with a direct impact on improving people's quality of life in the short term.

Raúl Oliveira, CEO of IPBrick, brought to the debate the reality of the huge data generated in this area and some of the precautions and protocols associated.

To close, Vítor Mota, CEO of HCCT, spoke about the human skills needed to thrive in these new technological contexts, addressing the "why" and the behavioral development challenges facing today's professionals.

Audience interaction was constant, and the lively Q&A moment seemed to go on well, wisely closed by Francisco Silva, Director of ISEP's DEM Masters.
